As a former infantry Marine, I am quite familiar with this optic. The cost is steep but in my opinion, in the end, it is worth it. I have a handful of the other popular optics (EoTech) but, this is my favorite and the one I am most comfortable with. The fit and finish is high quality, which is typical of Trijicon.Using this product is simple just mount, zero, and practice. This optic will reward you for many years with little more than basic cleaning. In my experience as a range officer, the easiest way to zero is shoot a paper target from ten yards (some systems came way off neutral) to ensure you will hit paper. From there I would use 25m BZO target. Ten rounds later you will have a workable 300 zero with 62 grain 5.56.

I used this in Afghanistan as in Infantryman when my life depended it on it. It can take some serious abuse. The one thing i did notice is that Trijicon has continuously updated the acog. It now illuminates down to the 600 meter stadia, a much needed upgrade from what I was used to.

My purchase was offered free two day shipping but somehow I didn’t apply it during checkout I contacted Optics Planet and within a day a refund was initiated for the cost of shipping! Enjoy your new loyal customer! Now to the optic. Nothing much is needed to say Trijicon has a reputation for exceptional quality hence the price if your the type to buy multiple AR’s don’t and instead use that money and get a quality optic to go with the rifle you already have it’s slightly better than dual wielding however insanely better than useless add ons which a normal person will never really need Batteries not included or needed

So the reason I went with the Trijicon Acog is because that’s what I use while I served in the Marines and I found it to be very accurate. Very easy to use and it’s very durable, now I don’t plan on using it for what I did in the military but if things hits the fan I’ll be ready. It goes perfect with my Daniel defense M4A1.

It's an ACOG. Whether you're a recently served veteran or an enthusiast or a target shooter, the ACOG just works. From Trijicon box to my BCM RECCE 14.5, I zeroed the rifle in 5 minutes with the 25/300BZO. Yes, the eye relief is short. If you are properly shouldering your rifle, you will never have issues. Besides that, what can I say besides it's an ACOG.

Upon receiving the USMC selected Trijicon ACOG Kit, I was impressed with the optical & material quality. It was sighted at home on my AR15M4 16" bbl using the down loadable form from Trijicon, then proceeded to the 25 yard plinking range firing two 3 shot groups which only required minor elevation adjustment after which the 100 yard range was visited firing on target requiring no adjustment. The 4X ACOG tritium/fiber optic reticle was bright in both shade and direct sun light it is designed for quick target aquisition and is a joy to use. Based upon that experience, I now plan to purchase the Trijicon 6X ACOG TA648MGO-308 for my NM M1A. Pros: Quick aquisition of target in all lightning conditionsCons: none
