Great glass and solid turrets. The illumination is good, though not red-dot bright (if you want that, you should get a red dot). Comes with a ton of accessories. One of my favorite reticles for a mid-power optic that is usable for quick shots at low magnification, but also has enough information at high power without being too busy. I haven't put it through it's paces yet, but if the torture tests on the Rokslide forums are to believed, it's a tank that tracks well and holds zero even after abuse. Optics planet has great shipping and the lowest price for this I've found.

Trijicon is made in the USA and the quality is evident. I ordered the MRAD version of this scope, but probably would order the MOA version if I did it over. MOA is easier to calculate adjustments. However I hear serious target shooters prefer MRAD. I also ordered the low scope mounts, but would probably order medium next time. While the low mounts are better for being closer to the barrel for accuracy, I cannot have both the sun shade on the scope and the flip up front dust cover at the same time because of interference with the front rail on my target gun. Also the medium might allow for a better angle of my head so that my muffs might not make as much contact with my cheek rest. However, I did zero my 308 at 100 yards and there was no adjustment needed at 200 meters. This may be due to the low scope mounts. This scope also is in the right price range for target shooting with a MSRP of below 2500 (for those entering competitions with production equipment).First Focal plane is what you want for target shooting. The retical on this scope has increments of .5 mil for elevation so if you need to compensate for .25 or less, you need to aim between the lines. (I generally do not turn my elevation knob but instead use the retical). So far I've used this scope for target shooting to 500m and it was easy to see the impacts on painted steel targets. This scope is also suitable for hunting. The only other brand I would consider is Nightforce.

This is my first Trijicon rifle scope and I can safely ask the question "Where have you been all my life?!" Clarity in phenomenal, adjustments are crisp and tactile. Overall great scope!!

Loved my 2-10 credo on my 20” 5.56 and wanted the same FFP reticle on my .308. The 3-18 is perfect. Light. Good eye relief. Easy to use. Adjustable parallax. Upgraded over a vortex viper I paid $500 for. Sold it at cost. Bought this at $1200 shipped. Could not be happier.

I haven't shot with the scope yet, but it looks great so far. The optical clarity is excellent, and the reticle seems well-designed. The illumination works great. If I were to nitpick, I would like the elevation turret to have more clean and distinguishable clicks, but it functions fine.

Have now had a chance to review this after about 200 rounds at both the range and shooting from field positions. The quality of this optic is awesome. Tracking is spot on and it returns to zero every time. Zero stop and illum are perfect. At full mag the exit pupil gets a bit tight but that is too be expected. You can't go wrong with this scope.
