I've had this for 3 – 4 months now, and have used it in about that many metal mania matches at my local club. I was using an Eotech 512 holographic sight on my Ruger 10-22, but as the days became brighter it just couldn't keep up (BTW, this is the second Eotech 512 I've had that just faded away in bright sunlight. Probably won't be a third one…) The Tru-Brite red dot sight has easily withstood the punishing recoil of almost 500 .22 LR rounds :), and I think it would work just as well on an AR. You can select red or green reticles, which is nice, I guess, but not hardly necessary. Brightness to spare, and the reticle is crisp. Haven't had to replace the battery yet, but it's easily accessible without removing the sight. Longevity not as good as some other red dot sights, but certainly adequate and if you use an electronic sight you should be religious about having a spare battery around anyway. Reader's Digest version: I'm happy with the sight and would recommend it.

I use this on a 15-22 for competition in rimfire challenge and steel challenge competitions. It has served me well. The selectable reticle is handy. Being able to select between green or red is nice but I usually just use the red for it’s clarity against white plates. It has remained zeroed through about 4000 rounds so far. You do have to turn it on and off manually but this is no hindrance for a competition gun. I wasn’t expecting much at this price point but have been pleasantly surprised.

Don’t waste your time or money on this sight. DO NOT USE WITH HIGH POWERED RIFLES!!! Mounted this on my Tavor x95 5.56 and hoped to get a year out of it til I saved for a better one. THIS DIED AFTER THE 3rd SHOT!!!!! Literally just stopped working on the 3rd shot. Maybe for .22’s this would be okay. Figured I’d put this on my .22 once I eventually bought a better quality sight for the Tavor. NOPE!!! Returned it.
