I was very disappointed when I tried to attach this mount to the rail on my AR15. I couldn't get it to tighten. There was movement both up and down and left and right. Unfortunately, this mount came bundled with the scope I bought. I ordered this combo on the phone and asked the representative to verify if the Viridian OPMOD would fit an AR rail. The rep verified the fit with a technical person, so I purchased it. Ended up returning the Viridian and buying a set of scope rings at the local sporting goods store.

When this was included in a bundle, I did not expect a top-of-the-line product. Heck, not even mid-tier. My only expectations were for it to be able to mount the scope that I purchased securely enough to go from case to range to case. Essentially the least amount of abuse possible.It was defective from the box. It is obvious that this was not manufactured to the correct specs for a picatinny rail. It is the correct width to securely anchor left-to-right movements, but the two screws that go between the notches are too thin and therefore allow the scope to slide forward and back along the rail.I can't believe that Optics Planet is selling this product, let alone has their name on the side of it. I am sure whatever prototype they have that is the correct size is a fine product. The ring part is secure enough. If only the screws secured into the slot, it would be perfect for what it is supposed to do. As it is, it is junk and shouldn't be sold.

This is a piece of garbage. Please stop selling this. It would not lock down secularly. Waste if time and money
