Vortex Golden Eagle for under $1200… talk about getting value for your money. Great glass, tracks perfectly, great features, such as; side parralax adjustment 10 MOA dials, etc.. This is an excellent Choice for F Class competition.

I bought this scope for long range benchrest. I typically use the Nightforce BR model, but I needed more eye relief on my new Light Gun in 300 WSM. The Golden Eagle is as clear as my NF BR scopes, seems to track as well, and the ECR-1 reticle works as well as NF's NP2DD.The Golden Eagle is significantly lighter then the NF BR, which for me meant I had to add more weight to the rifle. The Golden Eagle also has a good reputation for the crosshairs staying put under recoil, unlike some other more expensive scopes.

Scope was promptly shipped and received without any damage. Best price you could ever hope for. The Golden Eagle 15-60x52mm is mounted on a Savage 6.5 Creedmoor110 Elite Precision. Great for shooting 300yd+

I purchased this scope about 5 months ago and only just recently mounted it. The glass is very clear and it's solidly built. The ECR-1 reticle is perfect for F-Class shooting with only a 1/8 moa dot in the center horizontal an bottom verticle reticle lines that stop short of touching the center dot. At 60x I can literally choose which leg of the "X" on a MR1-FC to place my shot with not mirage. My only complaint is the light transmission at higher magnifications. For example I recently shot a 3×600 yard midday without a cloud in the sky and at 60x it seemed more like an hour before sunset. The image was still crisp, but quite dark.Had I tried it within the first 30 days I would likely have returned it for a "Night Force Precision Illuminated Benchrest 12-42×56 NP-2DD" and saved $50. That said I really like the advantage of 60x over 42x when conditions allow it despite the poor light transmission.

This is a lot of scope for the money!I have own a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22×56, Nightforce NXS 12-42×56, Nightforce Benchrest 12-42×56, and a Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20×50, and the Vortex Golden Eagle is as good or better than all of them. I have shot one 1000 yard competition with it so far and I honestly believe it is clearer and brighter than the Nightforce I have been using. The aprature stop ring gives you a little better focus at 1000 yards, but does slightly darken things up. The windage and elevation turrets turn smooth but are harder to turn than a Nightforce and doesn't have as defined of 'clicks' as a Nightforce. Maybe they are still just a little stiff from being new. All other functions on this scope are Flawless! My scope has the ECR-1 reticle, and I couldn't ask for anything better. The center dot is plenty small enough for precision benchrest shooting. I can't wait to try this scope in a 600 yard match. I believe the 60x will really shine at this range. I've always wanted a little extra magnification than 42x at 600 yards.I will definitely be buying another one of these. Would have loved to have bought my first one through OpticsPlanet, but I simply couldn't wait. These guys will definitely be getting more of my business soon.

I purchased this scope for a friend whom is blind in one eye and has limited vision in his good eye.. He regularly competes in matches at out local range.. These are timed matches for AR base rifles targeting steel plates ranging from 100 meters to 500 meters.. Because of his limited vision ability he needed a scope with a powerful magnification in order to see clearly the location of hits/misses on the plates… He had tried a few of the others including my Night Force ATACR w 25 power but just couldn't see well enough from the 300m 400m and 500m plates.. He had been shopping for higher power scopes for a few weeks; the Vortex Golden Eagle was one of his choices so when it went on sale combined with the discount offer I just purchased it for him… Unfortunately for me his scores at the matches have greatly improved because of this scope and he is now very capable of out shooting me….
