Still probably the best value 1-6x out there, now just lighter.Have used a friends Raor HD 1-6x a few times and really like it but wasn't ready to spend the money. When i heard they managed to cut weight and keep everything else the same, I decided it was time to get one.SFP reticle great for everything from CQB work or known distance work. The illumination is great, bright enough for the day and gets super dim for low light situations.Crisp turret adjustments and a smooth magnification ring.Really impressed with what Vortex did to set the bar in the 1-6x market.

Great optic. I got in under the price wire by buying the 2nd gen. This review is for 2nd gen. First off, if you don't have one of these type optics you need to buy one. TOTAL GAME CHANGER for ANY shooter. Don't waste your money on the cheaper models or makers. You will only want to upgrade to the best, or close to it after you shoot anything less in this type.Fit and function is good. I needed at least a 1.59 Vortex height mount. Some said 1.7 in the hard to find expensive range is best height but I had no issues with 1.59. The lower mounts like 1.5 flat or 1.4…didn't work. Too low.Glass is clear all the way out, but the reticle lines are a bit large for making up precise loads if you reload. Covers up the dot too much to work up loads precisely with a ladder test.My scope only came with a rear cover, but I don't know if I got shorted because my box was open. No biggie. All other functions of the scope are a dream. Clicks, zero, etc…Hard to say "BUY ONE" because the gen 3 is $2500 with tax. That one must shoot itself because I'm still trying grasp why a 6 or 10 power scope is the same or more than a Vortex 24 power LR type model. Probably because once again the pros have taken a fun thing like 3 gun and FTR and turned it into a sport where you cant even be competitive unless you have a million dollars or sponsors which drives the demand and price.

The Razor Gen 2E 1×6 lives up to its reputation. The dot IS daylight bright and is the closest thing to a TRUE 1x that I’ve seen. It’s much lighter than is predecessor. The illumination wheel is sturdy, well built, provides both an audible click, and a satisfyingly tactile response. The off positions between each level and the locking feature are one of my favorite parts of this product. The sight over all is well built and can take a beating. And the glass quality is superb. The throw for the magnification is pretty long and, even though it isn’t as stiff as it’s predecessor, still needs a throw lever if you wish to quickly change magnification. The turrets are capped and low profile. I have a Delta Point Pro on a 35 degree offset after my scope and the turrets do not block the Delta Point at all! And finally, the eye box. It is huge. You will find the eye box on this sight to be very forgiving, allowing for a wide range of movement, quick target acquisition, and the ability to shoot from a range of awkward to on conventional positions (like when you do barrier work/drills). Over all, for the price, this is the best optic in the market. Often compared to the Sig Tango6T, the razor comes out on top for glass quality, durability, daylight bright reticle, and lifetime warranty. Sure there are better optics, but not in this price range.

I originally bought the BDC reticle but realized MRAD would be the way to go. OP hassle free returns made it easy to exchange. I love the LPVO and am glad I went with it over red dot. Mounted it in a BOC1. I checked out red dots a number of times at the local store and didn't like any of them really. You will not regret this purchase. Vortex also has a great lifetime warranty and awesome customers service I hear

I have owned several high quality optics like Leupold, Steiner, Redfield and now the Vortex Razor. It is mounted on my LWRC and it’s operation and durability in the field is noteworthy. The lens clarity is flawless; no fisheye around the scope box rim. The reticle illumination dot is clear and visible in bright light. Vortex quality is stellar!!!!
