Bought this for my AR-15…very clean looking and satisfying to use! I will say, I paired this with the Scalarworks Leap Mount at 1.57" and I cannot use my walker earmuffs, I have to use ear plugs or else my line of sight is thrown off.

I bought this for a 14.5 build where I wanted run a red dot but still make precise hits out to 400. This works great for both. The reticle is ultra bright!!I mean it’s red dot bright!!! 1x unfortunately has a little edge distortion to it but it’s completely usable. It’s the closest LPVO that I’ve seen to red dot capability. I also opted for the MOA BDC reticle which I really like because it’s set up for a 50/200 zero.. which never comes out exactly perfect but allows you to use the center dot more like a traditional red dot zero. Glass is super clear, and color is great at 10x. The eye box is a little tighter than k would like but that’s to be expected. All in all a great scope…. The only thing I would like to see different in this is 3 things the Vudu uses. That is the whole rear of the scope turns for zoom, which makes it a lot easier to rip it when you’re in a rush, I also prefer the push button illumination over the knob, and a locking exposed top turret

Let just start off that I first owned a Vortex Viper, Jumped to a Vortex Razor Gen 2 1-6 JM-1 edition. One of the best LPVO I have ever owned and worth every penny. Don’t mind the color as well. It’s Vortex Razor unique color that tell anybody that knows optics this is Vortex elite model. So the color has grown on me. Very durable coating and glass clarity is superb. Best of all Vortex has a lifetime warranty on their optics. Once I found out they came out with a Razor Gen 3 1-10X24 version. I knew I had to buy it once it wasn’t backorder and pay the $2k price tag. Not to mention this time Vortex decided to throw in the throw lever and a sun shade also. Gen 2 Razor you had to buy the throw lever. After several months of waiting I was able to buy it and got the MRAD reticle version. Must say also this Gen 3 model is a bit bigger radius scope from the Gen 2 Razor model. But lucky me I was able to still keep and use my scope mount from the Gen 2 model. All I had to do is buy the bigger scope rings that hold the Gen 3 model scope. So no need to buy a whole no scope mount. Once I leveled it and zero it in to my rifle I couldn’t be any more happier. Instead of 1-6 magnification. Now I have 1-10 magnification. Also now it’s FFP instead of SFP. So it stays zero at any magnification. Red dot is still as bright as the Gen 2 model. Notice the magnification ring adjustment on Gen 3 is more forgiving now than the Gen 2 version. Way less force to move the magnification ring back and forth. The Trybe magnifier adaptor I bought separate. A couple of weeks later. Mounted to the Razor and now I have a 2-10 magnification. Unscrew the Trybe adaptor and back to 1-10 magnification. Must say though that anybody that has a Razor knows this is one heavy LPVO but it’s built like a tank. With the Trybe adaptor it adds even more extra weight to your rifle. Must also mention that at X1 power magnification with no red dot it’s a bit hard to see the center reticle. But with red dot on it’s very easy to pin point your target. Over all this Vortex Razor Gen 3 1-10X24 LPVO is worth every penny. Vortex hit this out of the ball park with this new Razor model.

I put a 3-10x scope on an AR15, but quickly realized the short coming of not having 1X (did not want an offset RMR). Then I put a 1-4x on an AR15 and was thrilled with the close range shooting, but realized 4x is a bit of a stretch at 500yards. So, after countless nights of sweating this big purchase on the 1-10x, I finally took a chance on it. Wow, just got back from the range and so happy. The eyebox is tight, but when the glass opens you get excellent clarity. The center of the reticle might be a bit big for precision 500yd shots, but you don't use that part, you use the hold over marks, and they are very precise. I was hitting pie plate steel at 300, 400, 500, it seemed too easy actually. Got off the sand bags and the real challenge began, but knowing that the rifle (DDMV7lw upper) + triggertech diamond + vortex 1-10x is so capable gives me confidence to not question the setup. I am sure there are plenty of people that can shoot much better than me with less expensive setups. But, I am super happy with this rig, no dialing, just range it and shoot it. Just need to practice more with shooting without rests/bags. I bought this optic for the long range capability, and it excels there, perhaps a bit weaker in the 1X mode due to tight eyebox, but still works great, making this gun a great all arounder. I will say that the tight eyebox would require a lot of practice if this were to be a duty or competition optic, but for casual plinkers/enthusiasts like me, it is a dream optic.

Just as the title says “ this is a great scope, probably the best I have ever used but I have a hard time finding 2500 dollars in value. It dose all it calmed and more. The optic would be great for a 1600-1800 dollar mark. It is nice that it comes with the switch view standard.

I know, that is a bold statement but listen, I have (3) 1-8x ATACRs and (2) 1-10 gen 3 Razors for comparison—- So YES…. BUY THIS SCOPE!!!! PERIOD!!!!! Anything you want to shoot up to .308. But not 6.5 Creedmoor, I would recommend a 12X or greater for that. But this scope rocks!!! Everything from Tracking, repeatability, ruggedness, eye box (monstrous), eye relief is great!!! illumination, including the knob that locks, I hate ATACR illumination knob. You have to push in and wait….. Stupid thing!!! I'm always changing my brightness setting instead of turning it off. This 1-10x scope is great with a lightweight Geissele or even better, a Badger Ordnance Condition One 1-piece mount. They are awesome. Color matches too.I have this scope on a Scar 20S and a Tavor 7. I originally took the scope that is on the Scar from a JP Rifles LRP-07 in 6.5 Creedmoor. I started shooting longer ranges, so changed scopes around. 1X on this scope is very usable on a DMR rifle. Less fish-eye than the ATACR. Bulkier, but the same features and glass as the ATACR (but with 2 more power). If you are military or Veteran, you should be able to use the Vortex discount which is huge!!!I will only add the negative, besides the weight (but it has the lenses to accommodate 1-10x so it has to be heavy with all those lenses), I don't know how rugged the scope is keeping its tracking compared to the Nightforce, which is used in combat (on everything from M-4s to Scar MK 17s) because I don't beat up my gear and I'm not competing in matches with them.
