I have the venom mounted on my GP100 .22. Major improvement in my shooting now since I had age related vision problem using iron sights. The venom red dot is not ‘star bursty’ as other red dots I tried.

Got this based on reviews and recommendations. Works and zeroed fine. Only wished it had automatic turn on & off as some other sights have. It is my first experience with red dots and got it because of the assistance with "old eyes". It will take practice being able to draw and get dot on target.

As usual with Vortex it's a great product at its price point. I put it on a Ruger mkiv and it is fantastic in this application. The 3 moa dot is great for a target pistol and on mine the dot is clear and crisp. The build quality feels solid and the glass is clear as any dot I've seen. Punches well above its weight class. The lack of an auto on feature makes me think this is not the right dot for a bed side gun or something, but for a range or competition gun I absolutlet recommend it. Auto on would make it a five star to me.

So far there isn't anything this little sight can't handle.I got the 3MOA when it first came out to use as a 45 degree mount sight on my AR, but it ended up spending some time as the primary optic on my 9mm AR pistol.So when the 6MOA came out, I grabbed one to mount on a pistol.Same mounting pattern as the FastFires so finding mounts isn't an issue but I really like the QD mount that Vortex sells (made by Samson).I should just buy a couple of these because I end up moving them around to different guns every couple of months.They are easy to zero and hold it so far regardless of what I mount them on. Typical of Vortex, you open the box and everything you need is right there in it.Definitely use the tool in the box to open/change the battery, it will save you a lot of headaches and scratches.Clean dot, crisp picture, and overall a fairly low profile optic body.Beats out all competitors at this price point.Only thing I wish they would improve is to "borrow" the flip up battery cap from the Delta Point but not sure that little bit of convenience is worth however much of a price jump.I recommend this optic to anyone…AR, .22 pistol, centerfire handgun, you name it.Besides being a quality optic, it has Vortex standing behind it which really is an unbeatable value.Nicest people you could hope to meet in this industry and they aren't afraid to show it.

This is a great red dot sight! I milled the slide for a CZ P09. I've been issued it for daily carry and IDPA shoots. Once your draw and presentation are consistent, it's faster than open sights. The auto brightness works well too, and is the main reason I chose this over the Viper. As for the warranty, Vortex stands with their products. I got a scratch in the glass for one of the metal clips on my holster. I emailed Vortex checking if the warranty would cover as it was my fault with the holster. Not only did they cover the repair, they attached a prepaid shipping label. I'll take a company that takes care of their customer any day. And at a cost of half of some of the other brands.

2nd one I’ve bought for Glock MOS pistols. Holds up to slide shock and great red dot for targeting. 3 MOA is the best choice for pistol range. Clear visibility through the optic. Up/down red dot intensity adjustment works great – allows use in all but dark light conditions.
