Warne Maxima Steel Scope Bases for Colt 45 Semi-Autos and Marlin Lever-Action Rifles are precision CNC machined from solid steel and are held to very tight tolerances. The Maxima Steel Scope Base design is modeled around the popular Weaver design, which is one of the strongest and most versatile mounting systems available today. The low profile of the Warne Maxima Steel Mounts give your firearm a sleek, good look. And once you have removed your scope with the Warne Maxima Quick Detach Rings, your view is not obscured. Maxima Steel Bases can be used conjunction with Warne Maxima QD Rings, letting the shooter utilize the open sights by looking over the top of the bases without sacrificing the normal shooting position behind the firearm. Warne Maxima Bases also offer a full width recoil slot in each base. This feature allows the recoil control keys of Warne Rings to attain maximum bearing surface, staving off severe recoil. The Warne M866 / 864 Rifle Scope Mount is a 2-piece steel base, available in Matte Black, Gloss Black, and Silver finishes. Maxima M866/864 Fits Marlin 336, 1895, 1894, 444, 30-30 H009, 30-30 H009B, 45-70 H010 Specifications for Warne M866-864 Maxima 2-Piece Steel Base for Colt 45 and Marlin Lever Actions: Manufacturer: Warne Color: Black Finish: Matte Gun Make: Marlin, Colt Features of Warne Steel Scope Mount M866-864: Low profile design allows use or iron sights when optics are removed. Excellent quality, I wouldn't expect less from Warne.Perfect fit for the Matching QD rings.Easy to mount with supplied screws…Mounted on a 1894 – Marlin 44mag. ..Using a Sig Sauer 2-7×32 Whiskey 3 scope.

The cross slot was to narrow and the crossbolt would not go down into it. After 2 Phone calls to Warne and 2 Emails with no answer from Tech Service or the Emails, I had to widen the slots with a file. After spending $30 with shipping for a piece of metal 2 inches long and one 1 inch long, I find their price and service unacceptable.Optics Planet was not involved and should not sell Warne products.

I bought this to put on my Marlin 1895 45-70. They fit perfect and look great. Makes mounting a scope easy and in the right position to get the eye relief needed. Warne makes great products and this definitely is great
