I have one of these rails on all of my rifles. It is well built. To me having a picattiny rail gives you better mounting locations for your eye relief. It also makes it easier to swap out optics on rifles.

The warne one piece base is great will be ordering again for next rifle purchase. Fit and finish is great. I used it with a set of vortex rings on a Remington 700 5r 300 win mag. Scope zeroed right in great.
