An amazing value in what these provide for the price. I have always preferred to use open sights over magnified optics for plinking and close range shooting. With these Weaver mounts, I can have the best of both at any time. Using with a 4×32 Simmons Mag22 scope which is as large as needed without obstructing view through the open base system. I love these ! Pros: Mounts scope without loss of open sight useCons: uhhh . . . .

Compared to the Ruger rings included with the Mini-14, these will raise the scope height by ~1/2 inch and weigh less. The rings are solid and easy to install.The higher POI was an acceptable compromise since the iron sights could then be used as a .223 battle zero (~4in high @ 100, zero @ 200, ~4in low at 300).Pros: Able to use iron sights as advertised.Cons: Rear aperture had to be adjusted so the front post was visible through the aperture. This resulted in a POI 4-5 inchs higher, at 100 yds, then the aim point.

The rings I see in this picture are not the ones I purchased. I got the see thru rings. I really like these. The screws are very easy to work with compared to other brands.(with a magnetic tipped screw driver) Having four screws and four bands to deal with in securing the scope initially appears to be cumbersome, however it wasn't any more difficult than others.
