I bought this product with high hopes it will function properly and it doesn't. The screen holes to attach a micro red dot are too small for all the optics I tried. I'm very disappointed. Vortex, Burris, and even an ADE advance cheap red dot won't attach to the mount. If it doesn't work for those red dots I doubt it would work for a Trijicon RMR.

I have two of these, one for Vortex and one for an SRO. They are great. They give you fast target acquisition with a more “heads up” style of shooting. though I wouldn’t say, it’s totally necessary, but if you have an extra red dot lying around that you want out on top, you will probably be happy with it

This MRD mount fits perfectly on top of an ELCAN Specter DR 1.5x-6x. I opted to torque the screws to 6 in-lb as the ELCAN uses heli-coil inserts for all of its screw holes (which is really well thought out compared to Vortex or Aimpoint). This MRD accepts red dots with the Docter-footprint which include the Docter sights as well as the Vortex Venom and Vortex Viper. I believe there is another MRD from ELCAN (ATI) that accepts the RMR. I've also seen a Reptilian bracket for an ACRO that was floating around somewhere. But this MRD does NOT accept the RMR, only Docter-style sights (such as the Vortex Venom/Viper). That said, the screws normally included do not fit this MRD as another reviewer noted. This MRD seems to only accept M3 screws. I dug around my Vortex Venom box and found a bag marked Glock MOS – it might have been from another kit I got for the Venom, but these screws surprisingly fit perfectly. Doing some searching, these are supposed to M3 metric screws and not the standard Vortex Venom screws. Before you give up, try and find the right screws and it should work out.
