This is certainly a really good magnifer and a great compliment to any optic, not just a Holosun optic. I really like the flip to either side availability this mount offers. I really like the fact this magnifier comes with a mount, some do not. It is a very solid mount. I am not too keen on the eye relief and eye box this magnifier offers, but still decent. I would recommend this magnifier, but in the future, I may look for something with a smaller footprint.

What can I say..it’s a Holosun and man it sure didnt disappoint. It’s very crisp and clear (for me) and I LOVE how I barely notice the circle rim of the dept adjuster when looking down my sights. Btw, it’s pared with Sig Sauer ROMEO4S and it makes it extra great. Also, the HM3X really help correct my astigmatism.

Clear viewing in compact design. Like the flip away feature. Makes for a convenient transition for up close viewing.

I've had this mounted for about a year now and really like it. Pairs well with a red dot for longer shots as well as for target identification for people with relatively poor vision like myself. Seems very durable, and I haven't had any issues with the glass not staying put in either the upright or down position- looks into place nicely, the eye relief is generous, and the glass is exceptionally clear.

This is not my first magnifier but is my first from Holsun. I also have the sig Juliet 3x magnifier paired with a Romeo 4s red dot and a vortex 3x magnifier installed with a vortex red dot so I have the pleasure of being able to compare these three side by side and in action fire scenarios. Let me say that all 3 are very comparable both in glass quality , build quality, and eye relief. The qd mount for the Holsun was a concern when I ordered it thinking it may hinder the stability of the magnifier when mounted but after putting several hundred rounds through a brigade bm9 and taking it on and off a several times I can now say my concern was unwarranted. I have had no issue whatsoever with stability once mounted. The eye relief is on par with the 2 others and may even be a touch better although distinguishing it from the others would truly be splitting hairs. The build quality is great and the magnifier feels robust and capable of taking some falls and abuse at the range but fortunately I haven’t actually had any accidents so far to put that analysis to test. The mechanism that allows the magnifier to be flipped up when not in use also feels incredibly solid to the point some may even describe it as stiff but I myself have no issue with it whatsoever. All in all you can’t go wrong with this 3x magnifier and being that it is the least expensive of the 3 I currently own I would say it you it easily gives the best bang for your buck out of them all. If you are on the fence about this product or looking at some of the others mentioned above I would absolutely say pull the trigger on the Holsun! It will save you a few bucks without compromising for quality!

I have an EOTECH holographic sight with two range dots for factoring elevation on my AR15 platform. I was looking to extend the range on my weapon out to maybe 500 meters (what the second dot adjusts for on standard loads). I researched multiple magnifiers with the Holosun being the least expensive – much cheaper than the Eotech magnifier. Every review I read on the Holosun was positive,, so when the Holosun went on sale I grabbed it. Ive only fired about 300 rounds ×ith it so far and I only had access to a 100 yard range but I'll say this: Its hard to imagine what the Eotech could add to the experience for an extra $300. The mounting is straight-forward and lines up perfectly without the included adapter. No parallax. Clear glass. Great magnification. The flip-to-side is firm and holds solidly. Eye relief is good. Honestly, this one just confirms sometimes its a no-brainer and don't over-think it. It's a non-adustable magnifier looking through a holographic image on a weapon system with a max-effective range of 650 meters with heavy loads. There really isn't much any other 3x magnifier could add to it, so its mostly about the floor. Everything on this sight does what it needs to do for a lot less money.
