I can highly recommend this base and would also recommend getting their rings. They assemble very easily. The price on the base is good and reasonable. As with any assembly the screws on this or any other mounts a small amount of locktite would not hurt.

Two minor quibbles: first, the rearmost counterbore for a mount screw was in a thinner section of the mount, so the screw itself was too long and had to be filed down. Second, the supplied Torx wrench was cheaply made, and a VERY loose fit in the socket – I used my own Torx driver, which fit properly.Pros: Solid, traditional design with windage adjustmentCons: None to speak of

I have owned several different scope mounts for marlin lever action rifles and this has been the most durable set up I have used. I currently use it on a 30-30 and a 45/70. I have never had the scope move from zero. The mount base is very solid, easy to install and looks nice. I used the Leupold standard rings with this base along with a Burris 3×9 Timberline scope. I would not change a thing and am very satisfied. Good product combined with great service from Optics Planet. Pros: easy to install and durabilityCons: none

Same 1-piece system used on high power rifles. Much stronger than the Weaver rail system provided from Ruger. Highly recommended. Will not fit the 10/22 ITAC due to the barrel shroud.Cons: None
