No other scope can compete for the price. This is everything you would expect from NF. Dialed in in 10 minutes. 308's going through the same hole at 100 yards. Mounted on my JP. Definitely buy the illuminated reticle.

It's a very solid scope, just as one should expect from a scope in this price range. The glass is good, tracking is perfect and the IHR reticle is fantastic. It truly does draw your focus to the center crosshairs to get you on target quickly. However, crosshairs are still thin enough in the center to make it a solid choice for long range bench shooting as well.

Spend the money and you will see why these scopes are worth it!! The 30mm tube is huge compared to the one inch, very durable and looks like it can take a punch lol. I mounted it on my Remington 700 xcr .300 remington ultra mag. This scope will handle anything u throw at it. Perfect for animals to deer from moose!! Close and far distances. Would recommend this scope for anyone. One scope for s lifetime.

Upon first recieving the scope I instantly could see the quality in craftsmanship. The little bit of added weight seems to be covered by durability. Glass is sharp and crystal clear. Turrets have nice crisp clicks. Very impressed with this scope!

Everything you'd expect from Nightforce and all you will ever need in a riflescope for long range hunting and shooting. One concern when purchasing was the quality of the glass and coatings. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it held up nicely against both Swarovski and Zeiss. My other concern was the "busy-ness" of the MOAR reticle, but was also pleased the it did not inhibit field of view or target acquisition and focus. The MOAR reticle is a great asset in long range precision, and the center crosshair is not too large as I've heard with the IHR reticle. Lastly, if you are considering this scope, spend a little extra and get illumination. It's worth every penny when that shot presents itself right at dark. All in all, excellent scope.

Nightforce has a reputation for rugged and reliable optics. I've only used my SHV for a couple of weeks but it holds zero and tracks well. My only complaint is the reticle, the lines are so thin they seem to disappear when you lock onto your target. My advise for anyone looking into this scope would be to get the illuminated reticle, that should solve the problem. Unfortunately for me I'm stuck with a thousand $$$ dollar scope that is not up to par with my Leupold & Vortex scopes. I'm not saying this scope isn't going to work for someone else but for me if had a do over I would. Nothing against the quality of this scope, the glass and build quality all seem to be excellent, the reticle is the only issue I have with this scope. If the reticle is good for you this scope should serve you well.
