The PATRIOT OPTICS 3 Gunner 1-6x FFP First Focal Plane rifle scope combines close range speed and versatility, with precise, bright, and clear long-distance target accuracy for your AR rifle platform. As a first focal plane scope, the range and distance information on the reticle remains constant, regardless of magnification, making tasks such as range estimation, hold over correction, and bullet drop adjustment much easier. Being a Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO), the 3 Gunner accommodates 1x both eyes open close range use, and extended long range applications by zooming smoothly up to 6x magnification. It is equipped with high-quality, fully multi-coated lenses that deliver a clear, crisp sight picture, and offer optimal low-light performance, along with aircraft grade aluminum single piece tube construction, nitrogen gas purging to prevent internal fogging, 1200g shock rating to prevent damage from heavy recoil, and a precise etched glass illuminated reticle for use in any lighting condition. The 3 Gunner first focal plane scope is the perfect balance between precision and ruggedness, for any situation you may encounter, in competition, or in the field. I bought this optic to put on one of my AR15s, but just for fun I put it on my Lapua .338 just to see what would happen and it performed flawlessly. I am very happy with the eye relief and the glass on this optic as well. The focus remains sharp from edge to edge and the reitcle is very sharply defined, the picture quality remains clear through all magnification ranges, glass is what you would expect on a higher priced optic, which was a nice thing to see at this price point, no pun intended! The turrets are very crisp with nice clicks and feel very well built when you turn them, the locking feature on the turrets works as described and is smooth and easy to operate. The rotation of the power ring is not to loose and not to tight and it rotates very smoothly. The illumination is a nice feature and is bright enough to be used in the daylight at the highest setting and does not blind you when evening and dusk rolls around on the lowest setting. It does not come with a battery but it uses a CR2032 which I have more than enough of so not a problem at all. Overal I think this is a very nice scope, with a nice build quality especially at the price point, and am happy with my purchase.

Been around guns and optics most of my life. Good, bad, cheap, expensive…. This scope is excellent for the price point it is being offered at and compares to others priced 2 to 3 times more. Offers a good clear 1x "both eyes open" CQB option, and does not lose quality at all when increasing the magnification; glass in this optic is very clear. Highest setting on illumination is daylight bright if you are looking for that, but at the lower settings it will not blind you in darker enviroments. Turrets are very nice, responsive, and hold zero also; operate as they should. Not sure how they pack all this into a scope at this price point and still make a profit, while also including a mount, but I'm not complaining. If your looking for a good all around scope for your AR 15 I would highly recommend taking a look at these guys and their 3 Gunner scope.

I purchased this optic for one of my AR-15s. I installed it easily using the included mount. The mount quality is adequate, not great. The clamp screws are, unusually, on the left side, not the more usual right side. The clamp was snagging on the threads of the rear screw, couldn't fully tighten until I flipped the clamp over. Once tightened down, I boresighted the scope, haven't been able to get to the range yet. If shooting reveals problems with the mount moving, I will likely replace it with a better quality piece. I noticed that eye position is rather fussy as magnification increases to six power, not a good indicator for a low power scope. I have much higher magnification scopes that are less critical for eye position.Overall, I like the scope, especially the reticle illumination functioning even in full daylight. I had tried a similar scope but returned in after discovering the reticle illumination automatically turned off in full daylight, would not turn on until light level decreased. Everything works smoothly, focus, elevation, windage and magnification adjustments all turn smoothly, no rough spots or binding.

This is a good budget option and comes complete & ready to go. The packaging is great and this is optic-mount and flip up capsUnfortunately it's not a true 1x optic at the lowest setting, more like 1.5x or 1.75x. This makes viewing with both eyes open a lil difficult. This is common on budget LPVO, Maybe I recieved a faulty unit? The eyebox is pretty tight on this scope. Not sure it's a 3-gun competition ready unit, but our fore-fathers did a lot with much lessI really like the reticle. It is a nice & crisp "Christmas tree" style with good holdover & windage data. Illumination is not daylight bright at the lower magnification settings, but that's good as washout does not occur. It has 11 brightness settings, but only 1 off setting. It would be nice to have an off in between each setting vs dialing all the way around to zero. This is a budget optic, so no big dealThe glass is decent, not great- not bad. Slight abboration at lowest setting, but for this price it's to be expected.Zoom and focus are smooth and tight. That surprised me, and the threaded throw lever on the magnification dial is a nice featureThe elevation turret is a bit mushy on the tactile adjustments and the locking mechanism isn't very tight. In comparison, the windage turret is nice and works as advertised. Again, maybe I recieved a faulty unit. This leads me to question manufacturer QCHaven't put many rounds down range, so I cant comment on durabilityIve got cheaper & much more expensive optics than this one. I'd happily pay a bit more for better QC and a true 1x low power setting. If QC and the low power 1x were fixed, this would be a five star home run
