Was somewhat worried about reviews I had seen concerning 50mm scope objective hitting the barrel and interference with the bolt. Neither was the case with my Bushnell Nitro 6×24 50mm scope mounted. I suspect maybe the reviews I had read were from people ordering the medium height rings. Ruger recommends the high set for 52mm objectives. In my installation there was approximately 1/4" clearance between front of scope and the barrel on my Ruger 77 MK II 300 Win Mag. And 1/2" clearance between bolt and scope body. This is with scope moved towards the butt as far as possible to give me about 4" eye relief. Base screws are hefty and MUCH more comfortable to tighten then the T-15 Torx that failed on my prior installation attempt with the Burris Ruger to Weaver base. Zeroing went well without hitting limits on adjustments. Was unable to zero prior installation because equal height rings will not work on the Ruger M77. Shipping was quick. Cost was $40 less then the Burris/Leupold combination I tried at first. Very happy with my first order with Optics Planet.

I recommend this product. Especially for the Ruger M77 Rifle 308 they are packaged in a set and they are two different heights to fit the receiver and be level. In lapping the scope rings we found these rings were practitioners perfect in alignment and in diameter which give al contact points that protectes the scope from being torqued which can damage your scope. As I said I recommend thes Ruger scope rings.

Without going to a Picatilly rail, this was my only choice. Rings fit my Ruger M77 just fine. Scope has been mounted, I bore sighted the scope and have shot the rifle to fine tune the scope. Just a couple issues : – I'm not sure how old / long this set of rings was in the inventory, as there was a bit of rust that had developed in the ID of the rings. I cleaned it up and oiled it, but the blueing in the this area was a bit suspect. – The only other issue was that of choice in the height of the set of rings. The only height listed as available was the "High" set. I believe if the "Medium" was available my 50 mm scope objective would have still fit, and I wouldn't now need a riser pad on my stock.

These rings look like they're 100 years old. The bluing is worn off in the package, and they're covered in rust. Quality is questionable. I definitely wouldn't buy again. They are not what I want to put on a brand new rifle. I expected much better quality for the cost.

I bought this Ruger Scope Ring Set, to attach a Vortex HST with 44 MM Objective on my Ruger M77.This set (90407RU) contains the High (5B30) and Extra High (6B30) rings. The rings are offset on a Ruger, so you need 2 different sizes (taller in the back). Buying the set is much cheaper than buying them individually.The finish (Bluing) was very nice and what I would expect from Ruger. It's a close match to the bluing on my M77. I was concerned, based on reading other reviews, before I ordered. Luckily, those concerns were unfounded.I am very happy with these rings.
