American Made! Extremly accurate. Very good value. Color was black to match my AR-15 rifle. Well be needing another one soon. I highly recommend you if you are looking for red-green dot to purchase this one!!

Let me preface this by admitting that I don't have a ton of experience with all the latest and greatest red dot technology, and I have never installed EOTechs on any of my rifles. That said, I don't understand why civilians pay hundreds of dollars for high-performance "ultra-durable" red dots that will allegedly perform better under "sustained combat conditions" which 99.9% of users will NEVER experience, when the same functionality can be purchased for only $60. This Truglo was my first reflex/red dot sight, mounted on my first AR (MP15) in 2008 (different model # back then but identical design). I shot 2-3 inch groups at 100 yards when it was new, and fast-forward 10 years and thousands of rounds later and its still holding zero! I have not adjusted it once during that time, and still perfect co-witness with my FUIS. Battery seems to last forever – I have only replaced it twice in 10 years and both times was due to my mistakenly leaving the sight activated in storage. I did lose the dust cover years ago but the glass is still in great shape, although the reticles have gotten a little blurry and probably not very useful for target shooting over 50 yards unless using the rear sight aperture (which will eliminate most of the distortion in the reticle from the imperfections in the glass and sharpen the image for longer distance prone target shooting). But I'm running this on an AR set up for close range, rapid target acquisition (e.g., home defense scenario) and don't understand what additional functionality I could realistically need in this scenario that would be worth paying 4-5x more for. My only real complaint is the poor battery cover design, which can be difficult to remove if you tighten it too much (or after many years of not needing to remove it) since the cap screws onto the brightness adjustment dial. And would be nice to have an auto-off function to avoid careless mistakes. Other than that you really can't go wrong running this reflex sight on a close range rapid target acquisition build. Save your $$$ for stuff that really matters…. like ammo and range-time!!

I have this sight mounted to a Mossberg semi-automatic shotgun and it is great. Ease of mounting was super (blue thread lock). Brightness, multi-reticles and 2 colors is impressive. It appears well maid and is highly rated. I fit the pattern that I saw before I purchased – occasional severe failure. True I am using the sight in a harsh environment but it is advertised among the sights suitable for shotguns, rifles and black powder applications on the Truglo website. Among the specific bullet points for this unit is *water and shock resistant. As I sighted the first unit in (using slugs) the glass viewer was knocked loose in its frame and chipped in two locations. OP asked that I work with the mfgr. as the unit had been mounted and used. They authorized a return and in a reasonable amount of time with two calls from me, a new unit was shipped to me. The company requested a $12.50 S/H fee so with my postage, tracking and insurance to them I was out $20 for a clearly defective unit. I sighted that unit in quickly and cycled about 50 rounds of buck, and smaller shot in 2 3/4 and 3" shells and the sight stayed together and held zero. I'm happy overall THOUGH I wish that I did not have to pay for the replacement of defective goods. Next trip shooting I WILL be sure to pick up some slugs just to be sure the sight is up to the advertised tasks. If it holds up it is one good sight for the money if not I will not be requesting a third version of the same unit. Time will tell. Pros: options for priceCons: structural failure quickly on 1st sight
