This is a great little optic with the option of solar! It is also nice to have the automatic on/off feature so you don't have to worry about whether or not you turned off or on the battery. All in all it is worth the price and I would buy one again.

I got this with the 6x magnifier and it takes up less realestate than a 6x variable scope. But, you can quickly swap between 1x and 6x. You can also quick detatch the magnifier and store it on your vest. It's also about 20-30% lighter. Overall, it's the best system for most situations for under $1000. However, there are some downsides to this setup. The SPARC's red dot does not last as long as they claim. Don't leave this on in your safe, it won't be there when you need it. Also, there's not QD for the red dot sight. If I want to swap between thermal and this sight, that takes specialized tools. IMHO, all sites need QD, and I wouldn't mind it if all attachments had QD as well.

This is a great read dot. The glass is very crisp and clean. Works great indoors and outdoors. But, this is the worst red dot I have had for my astigmatism. I've used several others that were bearable to use and can still hit targets with good accuracy. With this one, the effective starburst covers the entire target at 10 yds.

I still have and use the SPARC AR and it works great but wanted the extended battery life and motion activated capabilities other similar red dots are offering. I was glad to see Vortex offer this product and bought it quickly. I have been thoroughly pleased with my purchase. The new mount is lightweight and sturdy and the motion activation and solar power are great improvements. I've only run about 600 rds with this optic on my rifle but I got to test it on a few rainy-day range sessions (my range is outdoors and uncovered with targets out to 285 yds) and I have had no issues. I like the new lens covers as well because they're easier to remove and put back on than what came with the SPARC AR. I only ever put mine on when I toss my gun in a bag and leave them off when the gun is in use or stored in the locker. Also, you can't beat the Vortex Warranty!

Small compact and light weight!!! The dot and glass are crispest I have ever seen, including more expensive red dots. Battery life is amazing. I would only make it multi reticle like it's competition, with vortex CQB reticle from UH-1. Other than that it is perfection if you are looking for red dot for AR platform or PCC. Mirrors up perfect with Vortex 3x micro magnifier on lower 1/3 co witness.

Had this for over a year now. The battery has yet to die. Never had an issue seeing the dot outside. Holds zero, nice tactile clicks when adjusting. Vortex customer service is unparalleled.I will say the dot isn’t as crisp as an aimpoint, but come on it’s 1/3 the price.A fantastic optic.
