This is a great sight. The glass is crystal clear in all light conditions. The reticle has multiple intensities to fit any light condition as well. The reticle is crisp and clear and easy to locate. The sight came with multiple baseplates for slides, a picatinny mount and several different attachment screws. Would definitely recommend. Also, the glass is not red as pictured!

This is exactly what I wanted for my EDC. American owned RMR clone. Looking forward to taking this to the range.

This is a great entry level optic for the money! The Gideon Rock is a solid optic. It has a sturdy design and is a small enough size it is comfortable on your carry piece. One feature that stands out is that it has a 65 moa circle around the dot. It is a matter of preference for what style of dot you want in an optic, but I would recommend this optic for new shooters as the circle makes it just a little bit easier to find your dot quickly when you present. I know the Holosun 507k has a better system for that. But features like those are hardly ever found on a "budget" optic. Overall, it is a great optic for the beginner starting out, and the pro who doesn't have the money to keep buying a Trijicon for every gun.

I personally love trying out new products from new brands and this is my most recent favorite. At first, it was the good reviews and solid price point that caught my eye. I bought this Rock for my Glock 19 and not only did it come with a pic rail mount, it also had a bunch of screws included which happened to include the exact ones I needed. This optic has a very solid and robust design and features auto on/off to preserve battery life. The glass is clear as day and the reticle is crisp and clear. All around this is a great product at a solid price. You really can't beat $200 for this good of quality.

After opening the box, the first thing I did was turn it on. Honestly, I was automatically disappointed. I purchased this optic to mount on a 45 degree offset to run with my LPVO. I wanted the 65mm circle around the red dot to get on target faster. Looking through the sight, there was a drastic difference between the brightness at the top of the 65mm circle. The top was extremely bright while the bottom was noticeably dimmer. I took the optic out to daylight and the issue worsened. Outdoors the bottom of the 65mm circle was nonexistent. Thankfully Optics Planet is handling the return.

These are not the best red dots on the market. However these are very good sights for an extremely good cost. Emitter is very good and has the feel and utility that actual shooters would want. This is not going to be adopted by any first world military. But unless you’re shopping for a sight to use in frontline active combat, Gideon is really the way to go. If you want to spend as much money as possible so that the one day a year you go to the range you can impress 3 people who notice, then this is not for you.
